Manas Ranjan Behera

Dr. Manas Ranjan Behera has a diverse work experience of about 20 years in the areas of public health teaching, research, program implementation and management. He has worked in various positions primarily with Government, NGOs such as State Health Resource Centre, Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT), UNAIDS and multiple teaching institutions. Prior to joining School of Public Health, KIIT University in 2018, he was engaged in public health academia and research for five years at an international academic institute in Thailand. Dr. Manas has earned Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree from Mahidol University, Bangkok. He has also earned two master’s degrees– Master of Public Health (MPH) from University of Leeds, UK and Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Dr. Manas has also completed post graduate certificate programs in ‘Global Health’ from Imperial College, London (UK), and ‘One Health’ from University of Geneva among others. He has authored more than 50 published papers in peer reviewed journals (indexed in Pubmed, Web of Science, SCI, Scopus etc) and received research grants to his credit. He has also recipient of International Ford Foundation fellowship award. In the year 2020, he received the Best Researcher award form ScienceFather and also got awarded with Excellence (Public Health – Innovative Research and Awareness) during 5th International Heath Care Awards by TIME CyberMedia among others. He has also recipient of ‘Humanitarian Excellence Award 2021 from “I can Foundation, Rajasthan & Inida Prime Author Award from Foxclues India”. Dr. Manas was also invited as international guest speaker to various universities such as Coventry University, UK, Mahidol University, Kesetsart University, Thailand & University of Hyderabad to name a few. He is also reviewer of various national and international peer-reviewed journals including BMJ Global Health, PloS One, Scientific reports from Nature journal to name of few.
