Sasmita Nayak
Associate Professor
Dr. Sasmita Nayak was awarded with M.B.B.S degree in the year 1995 and completed her internship in the year 1996 from S.C.B Medical College Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha, India. After moving to USA for higher studies, she was E.C.F.M.G certified in the year 1999. She worked as a visiting physician at the Department of Paediatrics, Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY, USA (2000-2003) and at the Department of Neurology, Albany Medical Centre, Albany, NY, USA (2004-2005). Her research career began as a research assistant at the Centre for Immunology and Microbial Diseases, Albany medical Centre, Albany, NY, USA (2006-2008). She earned her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Biology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA in the year 2012. Currently she is working as Assistant Professor at KIIT School of Biotechnology and as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences(KIMS), KIIT Deemed to be University(KIIT-DU), Bhubaneswar.
