Dr.Amlana Panda
Associate Professor and Assistant Registrar (R & D)
Dr. Amlana Panda, Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT University, holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has over 20 years of teaching and research experience. His expertise lies in Manufacturing, Metal Cutting, and Sustainable Machining. He has published 115 research papers, book chapters, and a textbook titled “Sustainable Hard Machining: Implementation and Assessment” (CRC Press, Taylor & Francis), with over 1300 citations and an H-index of 20. Dr. Panda’s research focuses on sustainable high-speed machining, lubrication techniques, and tool wear analysis. He has guided three Ph.D. and M.Tech. students and co-authored two textbooks. A lifetime ISTE member, he has reviewed over 575 papers for top journals and developed innovative hybrid metal matrix composite fabrication techniques integrating materials and manufacturing research.
