Dr. Rishitosh Ranjan

Rishitosh Ranjan is an accomplished academic and researcher in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on thermal power systems and innovation. He completed his B.Tech at an RTU-affiliated engineering college and qualified for GATE in 2013, subsequently earning his M.Tech in Thermal Power Engineering from NIT Trichy in 2013. Since joining KIIT in 2013, he has been a dedicated faculty member, teaching subjects such as Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, IC Engines, CFD, and Turbo Machines, along with interdisciplinary topics like Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
In 2022, he earned his PhD from KIIT University, with a thesis on “Numerical and Experimental Investigations of A356 Casting using Cooling Slope Method.” He also contributed to KIIT’s Industry Engagement Cell (2015–2017) and now serves as Associate Dean at KIIT Extension School, leading online program initiatives.
