Dr. Suprava Patnaik
Dean, Professor
Dr Suprava Patnaik earned her BTech & MTech from NIT Rourkela and her PhD from IIT Kharagpur. She has held faculty positions at NIT Rourkela, SVNIT Surat, and XIE Mumbai, and currently serves as Professor in the School of Electronics at KIIT DU. She was also a Visiting Faculty at the University of Western Australia, contributing to Big Data research.
Her research advances Computer Vision, Audio Processing, and Applied ML, with strong emphasis on translational AI and real-world deployment. Her work spans intelligent surveillance, biomedical and audio signal analytics, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.
With over 100 publications, she has successfully supervised 9 PhD scholars, 4 more are ongoing, building impactful research that converts theory into scalable & deployable AI systems.

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from NIT Rourkela,/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Devices from NIT Rourkela,/ Ph D in Machine Learning and Image Compression from IIT Kharagpur.
