Assistant Professor

I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Bhubaneshwar. I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at National University of Singapore (NUS). I worked with Prof. Mohan Kankanhalli and Prof. Jussi Keppo in the N-CRiPT Lab. I am also worked in collaboration with Prof. Bowei Chen, University of Glasgow, UK. I received my PhD in Computer Science from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India. Previously, I received my bachelor and master degrees in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus (2011) and Thapar University (2015).

My current research is in privacy and security in machine learning, machine unlearning, data privacy, synthetic data generation, deep learning, and computer vision. I have extensive research experience in video surveillance (moving object detection, anomaly detection), human emotion analysis (facial expression recognition, micro-expression analysis), aerial surveillance (UAV-based visual data analytics: agricultural land segmentation, motion detection, object detection, instance segmentation), visual quality enhancement (haze removal, night-image enhancement, image inpainting). Some of my research works have been published in highly reputed SCI Journals (IEEE Transactions, IEEE Letters) and top-tier conferences (AAAI, ACMMM, WACV, CVPRW, ICIP, ICPR).
