Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash

Dr Bidu Bhusan Dash is an associate professor and head at the School of Mass Communication, KIIT Deemed to be University. He has done fieldwork in various regions of India to understand the correlation of media and power from pragmatic perspectives. His academic training at TISS and practice in media and international non-governmental organizations help him to understand the strategic use of communication for development. He was CRY National Child Rights Research Fellow and Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellow at SOAS, University of London. He has published his research in journals like Journalism, Asia Pacific Media Educator and Economic and Political Weekly. His current research concerns range from Communication for Social Change, to Media in Everyday Life.
