Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan

Prof. Himanshu is a Public Health Management professional having over 20 years of experience of working in various public health domains with the United Nations (UN) Agencies – World Health Organization, United Nations Development Programme and United Nations Population Fund and the University – KIIT Deemed to be University in various techno-managerial and academic positions. Himanshu has a good track record of facilitating and managing innovative projects and public health programme in the areas of Health Action in Crisis / Public health in Emergencies, Reproductive, Child and Adolescent health, Disaster Risk Reduction, HIV/AIDS, Migrants’ health, Antibiotic resistance, Health Information Systems and Nutrition etc. An intrinsic part of his professional experience has been the programme management, capacity building, technical assistance to Govt., techno-managerial guidance to team, training, teaching and partnership building. Himanshu has wide ranging hands-on experience in the programme and policy arenas in various public health subjects working with various levels of the government from within the UN system. Since 2017, he has been actively involved in public health teaching and research activities. Himanshu has offered consultancy services to international agencies including the World Bank. He has collaborated with several European and Indian Universities for multi-partner projects and research activities. Himanshu has also handled various projects at the School of Public Health as Principal Investigator (PI), CO-PI and Advisor. He has been invited as resource person/speaker at various national and international workshops/conferences and technical forums and published papers in national and international peer reviewed journals.
