Dr. Jitendra Kumar Patel
Assistant Professor II
Dr. Jitendra Kumar Patel obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chhatrapati Shivaji Institute of Technology Durg, Chhattisgarh in 2010 and completed his Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2012. After obtaining his master’s degree, he continued his research and studies at IIT Guwahati by joining the Ph.D. program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, titled, “A generic and robust numerical framework for multi-phase flows using Volume-of-Fluid/Immersed boundary methods” in 2018. His broad area of research includes computational fluid dynamics, multi-phase flows, fluid-structure interactions, and miscible fluids interaction. Currently, he focuses on the analysis, development, and fabrication of micro-mixers in microfluidics applications involving two miscible fluids interactions. In 2017, he joined the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Deemed to be university Bhubaneswar as an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering.
