Mr. Sankha Kar

With over 30 years of experience, he is a seasoned photojournalist, picture editor, and visual storyteller who has worked extensively across the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. A Knight Fellow (2024–25) at Ohio University, USA, he holds a master’s degree in visual communication. He has received numerous national and international honors, including the 6th National Photo Contest (1993) by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. He is a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and an AFIAP of the International Federation of Photographic Art. His acclaimed exhibitions span India, the UAE, and the USA. His book, Photojournalism: Writing the Headline (2023), bridges academic study and professional practice.
