Dr. Nitin Sharma

Associate Professor-II

Dr. Nitin Sharma is an Associate Professor (II), Associate Dean, and Program Head of B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He holds a B.Tech. from IIITDM Jabalpur, an M.E. in Mechanical and Control Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) under the MEXT Fellowship, and a Ph.D. from KIIT (2018). With over 60 SCI-indexed papers and 17 Scopus publications (H-index 23, i10-index 44), his research focuses on vibroacoustics, metamaterials, aeroelastic flutter, and composite modeling. He has guided two Ph.D. scholars and led a DST-SERB (TARE) project on acoustic metamaterials. A recipient of KIIT’s Top 5 Researcher Award (2021–22) and the Best Technical Paper Award (2018), he continues to excel in interdisciplinary mechanical research.
