Pratap Kumar Jena

Associate Professor

Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena is a modern medicine physician, specializing in public health, data science and medical law, has more than two decades of experience, holding various academic, research, and techno-managerial positions with the Government, World Health Organization, Public Health Foundation of India, and other Academic Institutions. He is the author of about 65 journal articles/books/manuals/conference publications. His research works are focused on epidemiology, NCDs including tobacco control, child health, and health systems and it has been well recognized and awarded by various international professional bodies like the International Epidemiological Association (IEA), the International Society for Addiction Medicine (ISAM), Asia Pacific Organization for Cancer Prevention (APOCP), The UNION, etc. He is passionate about health literacy and creating an enabling environment for individuals to make better health decisions. He teaches Epidemiology, Social & behavioral Health, and Medical Law & Ethics to Public Health and Hospital Administration Students.
