Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena
Associate Professor II
Dr. Jena is a physician with over 21 years of experience in public health, working across government, academia, WHO, PHFI, and leading universities in academic, research, and managerial roles. He has authored 70+ publications in the field of public health. He has been awarded by IEA, ISAM, The UNION, and APOCP, and he recently received the CUGH’s Dr. Thomas Hall–Dr. Nelson Sewankambo Mid-Career Leadership Award. He has contributed to key Government of India guidelines on immunization and hepatitis B, and tobacco control. As an educator, he teaches Epidemiology, Social & Behavioral Health, and Medical Law & Ethics, mentoring Ph.D. and MPH students. A passionate trainer, he has trained thousands of healthcare professionals nationwide in research, immunization, and tobacco control.
