Samir Kumar Panigrahi

Dr. Samir Kumar Panigrahi is currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Library and Information Science, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He holds a PhD (LIS). He has more than 26 years of experience in the library profession, including more than 22 years of administrative experience, one year of teaching experience at IGNOU, followed by 4 years of research experience.   He has published 10 research papers, including 2 articles
published in reputed international journals. He is an active member of national and regional professional organizations, like IASLIC, OLA, etc. Dr. Panigrahi is an excellent teacher, a dynamic librarian, and a successful researcher. The key areas of his research include information-seeking behavior, electronic resource management, library automation, open-source software for libraries, etc.
