Dr. Sankha Chakrabortty

Associate Professor I

Dr. Sankha Chakrabortty is an Associate Professor and R&D Coordinator at the KIIT School of Chemical Engineering. A Gold Medalist Ph.D. from NIT Durgapur, he has over 8 years of postdoctoral experience in teaching and research. His expertise includes membrane technology, wastewater treatment, CO₂ capture, biomass valorization, and sustainable process engineering. He has secured major funding from DST, UGC, Ministry of Mines, NALCO, and NMDC. With 85+ peer-reviewed publications, 7 edited books, and 07 granted patents including a US patent, he holds an h-index of 26 and 2500+ citations. He serves as Associate Editor of reputed journals. His accolades include the Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award (Japan), Scientist of the Year (NESA), and STE Best Innovation Award (US Patent).
