Dr. Shraddha Dhal

Senior Assistant Professor

Dr. Shraddha Dhal has a demonstrated history of working in the Education management industry, skilled in Research, Communication, Teaching, and Interpersonal Skills. She has presented papers at various conferences including Oxford, IIMs, IITs and NITs; published articles and papers in various journals; and translated a major portion of Fakir Mohan Senapati’s novel Lachhama, the classic piece of an iconic Odia literary figure. Her research interests focus on the Post-colonial Fiction, Diaspora Studies, Cultural Studies, Minority Community and Identity Crisis with a specific emphasis on the Parsi community, an ethno-religious minority in India. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor of English and Communication in the Department of Humanities, School of Liberal Studies.

  • Invited as a Plenary Speaker at the 5th International Postgraduate Colloquium on Revitalizing Research in Language, Literacies and Translation and presented a talk on “The Silver Lining of Cross-Cultural Stress Management: A Novel framework of Perceived Coping Mechanisms among Migrant Students” on 14 July 2021 organized by the school of Language, Literacies and Translation, University Sains Malaysia.
  • Organized a One-day International Webinar on “Cultural Studies: Traits & Perspectives” as a Convenor, School of Humanities, KIIT Deemed to be University on 26 Sept. 2020.
  • Participated in the International Lecture Series on English Literature and Theory, & secured a score of 60/100, organized by All India Forum for English Students, Scholars & Trainers (AIFEST) from 3-7 Aug. 2020.
  • Participated in The 2-Day UGC aided Workshop on “Translation”, organized by the Dept. of English, Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore on 13-14 Feb. 2015.
