Dr. Shruti Dev completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery (B.D.S ) from the prestigious Nair Hospital Dental College, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra in 1994 and her Masters in the subject of Prosthodontics (M.D.S) from the same college in 1996. She worked as an associate to Dr. Sandesh Mayekar, a leading cosmetic and aesthetic dental Surgeon of India, for 3 years during which she handled complex aesthetic cases and full mouth rehabilitation along with routine dental treatments. She began her academic career in 1999 and taught at Vinayaka Mission’s Lord Jagannath Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar (1999-2004) and Gandhi Dental College, Bhubaneswar (2004-2011). She obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Healthcare Management in 2002 from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, Pune, Maharashtra. She joined Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar in 2011 as Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. She held the position of Vice Principal of the Institute (2013-16) and Principal (2016-17). She currently heads the Department of Prosthodontics and is also a post graduate guide. Her areas of interest include maxillofacial prosthetics and bio-materials. She has several publications to her credit and has also chaired scientific sessions at various conferences.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading and managing the Department of Prosthodontics at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences and reporting directly to the Principal of the college. Co-ordinate the development and implementation of the Prosthodontics aspects of the didactic and preclinical curriculum for the undergraduate and postgraduate dental student. Ensuring that the dental students, interns and faculty are competent in the management of fixed and removable prosthodontics and the restoration of implants. Working with Department faculty and others to develop and deliver state-of-the-art continuing education programs. Plan and manage department operations to ensure excellent patient support services. Oversee daily activities and provide direction and guidance to staffs as needed. Ensure that patient appointments, cancellations and last-minute adjustments are handled properly. Develop promotional programs to attract more patients. Respond to patient queries and issues and ensure patient satisfaction. Maintain the treatment facility clean, safe and organized. Follow and enforce university policies and regulations. Identify areas of improvements and concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions. Perform inventory control and management to support cost reduction initiatives

Outreach Activity
In Januray 2020, Organised on behalf of KIDS one Free Prosthodontics (Denture) Camp at Sai Saburi Hospital , Balakati, Bhubaneswar with more than 300 patients turning for dental check up and free denture treatment in three visits
