Srinivas Patnaik

Dr. Srinivas Patnaik earned his MSc in Biotechnology from Goa University and PhD from Institute of Life sciences, Bhubaneswar specialised in “Molecular Oncology”. Presently, Dr. Patnaik is working as an Professor and Dean in School of Biotechnology, KIIT University. Dr. Patnaik conferred the young scientist by Department of Science and Technology, Odisha and have received STA fellowship from IARC, World Health Organisation, Lyon, France. Dr. Patnaik, had 12-year experience working in USA and Europe with eminent scientists in the field of DNA repair and cancer. He has published research articles in high impact journals such as Gastroenterology, Cancer Research, Oncogene, Nucleic Acid Research to name a few. Dr. Patnaik has been member of several national and international scientific societies and is actively serving in the review board in many international journals such cancer letters, Scientific Reports, Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry etc. Apart from research, Dr. Patnaik has been a passionate teacher and involved in teaching molecular biology, genetic engineering and cell biology. In addition to the core topics he is interested and involved in teaching soft skills such as “personality development and scientific writing” to final year M Tech and MSc students. Currently his research group is working in the field of gastrointestinal inflammation and colorectal cancer using genetically modified mouse models.
