Dr. Sudeshna Datta Chaudhuri
Senior Assistant Professor
Dr. S. D. Chaudhuri received her doctoral degree in English literature from Jadavpur University in 2013. She qualified for UGC-NET in 2007. From 2008 to 2017, Dr. Chaudhuri has worked in Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata; Institute for Civil Service Aspirants (ICSA), Kolkata; and the School of Cultural Texts & Records (SCTR), Jadavpur University, Kolkata. In SCTR, Dr. Chaudhuri has worked on India-UK Academic & Educational Network Programme under UGC-UPE-I scheme, and Music Digitisation Project in the SCTR Archive of Hindustani Classical Music under UGC-UPE-II. She has taught in the Digital Humanities & Cultural Informatics course run by the SCTR. She is trained in Hindustani Classical Music (vocal), with a Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She is proficient in English, Bangla, and Hindi, and has been a regular book reviewer for The Telegraph, Kolkata. Dr. Chaudhuri considers resource-creation through research, translation, and digitization, a crucial part of current academia.
