Dr. Tapan Kumar Bastia,Associate professor in chemistry,School of applied Sciences,KIIT deemed to be University,has more than 30 years of teaching experience and expertise in waste utilisation and pollution monitoring as well as polymeric materials .He is engaged in research in waste utilisation and composite material characterisation since last 20 years .To his credit , he has already guided 8 research scholars in this field ,published more than 40 papers in peer reviewed journals,guided three research projects on study of water quality parameters.He has also 5 patients filed in addition. He is working on composite material and polythene decaying bacterial activity also .In 2021 he got teaching excellence award from research foundation ,Malaysia .

He is working as coordinator of chemistry and head,academic committee ,U.G,school of applied sciences.To his credit he is the life member of ISCA,OCS etc.
